Join Anna Sheather for an exciting session that will spark your curiosity about using visual art in coaching. You’ll discover why using art in coaching as a visual expressive language is such an important approach, including in executive and leadership coaching.
Anna will share her approach together with some case studies that show how ART in Coaching is a person-centred transformational coaching modality and an extraordinarily powerful way for clients to connect to, hold and communicate complex, emotional, relational and systemic issues, as well as the hidden. ART in Coaching offers an approach that goes beyond the cerebral and analytical, accessing deeper parts of our clients, helping them to recognise and unlock what they need to achieve what they are seeking – coaching beyond words.

Materials to bring
When joining the session please ensure you have some art materials and paper with you for the practical exercise. For example, A4 printer paper sheets, colouring pencils, children’s wax crayons, felt tip pens and anything else you have to hand. If you only have one thing that is okay, however, if you can have a choice this will help with how you may want to express yourself in the exercise.
About the Speaker
Anna Sheather is based in the UK and has been coaching for almost 20 years, setting up her professional practice Elan Coaching in 2007, and later founding ART in Coaching in 2016 when she made the decision to bring art formally into her executive coaching practice. Anna has been researching and developing art-based coaching for many years sharing her practice through coach development programmes, talks and writing including her book Coaching Beyond Words – Using Art to Deepen and Enrich Our Conversations, Routledge 2019. Professionally, she is a Master Executive Coach accredited with APECS (Association of Professional Executive Coaches and Supervisors) and a Master Supervisor accredited with the AC (Association for Coaching).
