Iris Kuhnert, a native German born in 1967, is an accomplished global coach and trainer, as well as a specialist in Japanese people, culture, and business practices. She has over 15 years of international working experience. Her corporate experience during the early 1990ies when she was responsible for marketing and communication Europe for Noevir Japan laid the foundation for her work as consultant and coach. Her ability to combine latest training and consultancy theories with proven practical experience add to her ability to support clients with a highly effective and situational approach. Iris has extensive knowledge of applied economic languages and international management.Iris specializes in executive and team coaching as well as cross-cultural leadership. She coaches executives on creating smooth and accelerated transitions into different cultures, situational leadership in multicultural settings and the development of cross-cultural leadership skills. In addition, she focuses on international management and conducts training sessions that address intercultural competence, cross-cultural negotiation and communication, virtual and cross-cultural teams, as well as sales and marketing across cultures. Iris has partnered with corporations and institutions throughout Europe, Asia, Mexico, and the United States. She has worked with professionals and their teams in Japan, China, Taiwan, and other South-East-Asian countries.When clients work with Iris, they benefit from her extensive international experience. Her book “Business with the Japanese” is a practical insight into cross-cultural challenges and how to handle them efficiently. Iris counts organizations like Daimler, BASF, Merck, Siemens, Swiss Reinsurance as well as leading medium-sized business to her list of clients. Iris Kuhnert is a certified licensee of the Intercultural Readiness Check IRC© and a certified Cultural Orientation Indicator COI® Practitioner. She is also fully certified in Lominger’s Voices 360® – The Leadership Architect® Suite – and the Booth 360 Task Cycle® Survey. She has a certification as Leadership Transition Coach and as a trainer for “Valuing Diversity and Practicing Inclusive Leadership”.
